This Privacy Policy explains how Car Party ("the app," "we," "us"), published by SV Global Consulting, handles information. By using Car Party you agree to this policy.
Information we do not collect
Car Party has no user accounts and no analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, browsing history, or device identifiers for tracking. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share personal information.
Information that stays on your device
- Location. If you turn it on, your location is used only on your device to tailor content — local "Did you know?" facts and questions, nearby destination ideas, and drive-time estimates. Your location is not stored by us and is never transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties.
- Photos & voice notes. Photos and voice recordings you add to a trip scrapbook are saved locally on your device. If you import photos, the app accesses your photo library only with your permission and copies only the items you choose.
- Microphone. Used only when you record a voice note, and only on-device. Voice notes are turned into text with Apple's on-device speech services.
- Calendar. If you add a planned trip to your calendar, the app uses write-only calendar access to create that event. It does not read your calendar.
- Trips, scores, and settings. Stored locally on your device.
Apple Music (Name That Tune)
The "Name That Tune" game plays song clips using Apple Music (Apple's MusicKit). When you play it, the app asks Apple Music for songs and streams short clips over the internet — this is the one part of Car Party that needs a connection. Your Apple Music activity is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy; we don't receive, store, or share it, and the rest of the app keeps working offline. If you never open Name That Tune, no music data is requested.
Purchases
Car Party Premium is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and manages the subscription — we never receive or store your payment details. Purchase validation uses Apple's StoreKit on your device. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles transactions.
Children's privacy
Car Party is designed for families, including children. Because the app does not collect personal information from anyone — child or adult — and contains no ads, no third-party tracking, and no external links to unsafe content, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will help.
Your choices & rights
- You can turn location, microphone, camera, photo, and calendar access on or off anytime in iOS Settings.
- You can delete all of your trips and data from within the app (Settings → Delete all data), and deleting the app removes all on-device content.
- Because we don't collect or store your personal data on servers, there is nothing on our side to request, export, or delete.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
